Keep Antibiotics Working

To help increase public awareness of antibiotic resistance and the need to protect our antibiotics for future generations, the Scottish Government and NHS Scotland continue to promote the Keep Antibiotics Working Campaign supported by SAPG.

The 'Keep Antibiotics Working' Campaign aims to promote safe and sustainable antibiotics use ahead of this year's World Antimicrobial Awareness Week 2024.

World Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Awareness Week will be 18-24 November 2024 and provides an opportunity to raise awareness of AMR. Raising awareness of how we can all work together to address AMR is vital and ensures the antibiotics remain effective.

World AMR Awareness Week is a global campaign to raise awareness and understanding of AMR and promote safe and sustainable use of antibiotics to reduce the emergence and spread of drug-resistant infections.

For this year's World AMR Awareness Week, we're asking for support in sharing our 'Keep Antibiotics Working' campaign resources. These resources aim to raise awareness of key actions everyone can take to help address the threat of AMR ahead of and including AMR Week in November.
